About VPN
Virtual Private Network (VPN) provides secure, authenticated remote access to campus networks and services.
Use VPN when you are away from campus and need secure access to campus resources.
- Network traffic encrypted between your system and campus.
(Protection from electronic eavesdropping.) - Added security for some services (FTP, Webmail, etc.).
(Useful for less secure networks, for example in hotels or airports.) - Computers connected with VPN appear the same as on-campus computers.
- No special settings required.
- File sharing, printing, remote desktop, SSH, FTP, telnet, and Web-based services have all been tested with VPN.
