How to Create a Subsidiary Permit

Identity management creates top-level permits. Permit owners can create subsidiary permits on their own.

  1. Connect to https://paw1.cit.cornell.edu/cgi-bin/permit.cgi.
  2. Click Mange Permits.
  3. When prompted, in the NetID box, enter your NetID. In the Password box, enter your NetID password, and then click Login.

  4. In the Permit Access List, in the Owner column, select the name of the permit, for example permit_name. Then click owner cmds, and click Execute.

  5. In the Make a new permit based on this one: box enter the name of the subsidiary permit, and then click Make a new permit.
    The original permit name is already filled in to form the beginning of the subsidiary permit name.

  6. Close the browser window when you're finished updating the permit.
