How to Connect to the Cornell Campus VPN: iPhone/iPod Touch

The RedRover-Secure and CUVPN profile for iPhone and iPod Touch completes the set up and connection process for you.

Download and run the installer

  1. Download the installer from https://cufs.cit.cornell.edu/vpn/RedRoverSecureVPN.mobileconfig.
    If prompted, enter your NetID and password.
  2. On the Install Profile screen, click Install.
    If prompted, enter the pass code for your phone.

  3. You'll see a warning message that this profile will change your settings, click Install Now.

  4. Enter your NetID, and then press Next in the top right corner.
    Do not include "@cornell.edu".

  5. Enter your NetID password. Press Next in the top right corner.

  6. Repeat steps 4-5. (You need to enter your NetId and password again for the Cornell VPN connection.)
  7. Press Done in the top right corner.

Your RedRover-Secure profile is now installed. Next, connect to the Cornell Campus VPN.

Connect to the Cornell Campus VPN

  1. From the main menu of the device, select Settings.

  2. Slide the VPN switch from OFF to ON.

  3. The words "VPN Connecting..." appear briefly, and then thy VPN is turned on.
