Setting Your AUDIX password

Before you can use AUDIX, you'll need to set your password. Your password must be SIX digits long (although you can think of them as letters if that helps you remember them). Here's how to set your password. These instructions assume you have NEVER used AUDIX with your current ResPhone number. (If you want to change to a different password, follow these instructions but see the note attached to step 3.)

  1. Dial 4-4444 from on-campus or 607 254-4444 from off-campus.
  2. If you are calling from your ResPhone phone, press # in place of your extension.
If you are calling from a phone other than your ResPhone phone, enter your five-digit campus extension, followed by the # sign.
  3. The prompt will ask for your password. Just press the # sign.
(Important note: if you are changing your password - rather than setting it for the first time - enter your current password followed by the # sign.)
  4. At the main AUDIX menu, press 4.
  5. At the prompt, enter your password. Remember, SIX digits.
  6. Enter your password a second time, then press the # sign.

And you're done. You can change your password at any time using this method - just make sure to enter your current password in step 3.
