How to Install Security Certificates on Macintosh OS X

To use RedRover-Secure, you need to have two security certificates installed:

  • Thawte Premium Server CA
  • Equifax Secure Certificate Authority

Install Security Certificates on Macintosh OS X

  1. Download the installer:

  2. Double-click the certs2 folder to open it.
    The folder contains two certificate files. Install each of them separately.

  3. Double-click Equifax_Secure_CA.cer.

  4. In the window that appears, under Keychain, select System and click OK.

  5. Enter the name and password you use to install software on this computer (not your NetID), and then click OK.

  6. In the Keychain Access window, double-click Equifax Secure Certificate Authority.
    If you don't see the Equifax Secururity Certificate Authority, click Show Keychains (at the bottom left) and then in the Keychains list, click System.

  7. Click Trust Settings. (You may have to scroll down.) Then, in Extensible Authentication (EAP), select Always Trust.

  8. Repeat steps 3—7 for the ThawtePremiumServerCA.cer file.

  9. Quit the Keychain Access application.
