How to Use Features on Digital Phones

Standard Feature Procedure
Hold
To place a call on hold - Press Hold

To answer another call - Press Call Appearance of incoming call

To return to held call - Press Held Call Appearance

Call Pickup - Dial *1

Last Number Dialed - Dial #7

Transfer - Press Transfer
- Hear dial tone
- Dial 5-digit number
- (Announce call)
- Press Transfer
- Hang up




Conference
To add a party to call
(may have up to 6 parties)
- Press Conference
- Hear dial tone
- Dial party
- Press Conference after party answers
  Note: If no answer or busy, press Held Call Appearance

To drop last party added - Press Drop

Disconnect
To hang up from current call
and return to dial tone
- Press Drop

Call Forwarding
Busy/No Answer
Activate - Dial *3 (3 rings)
- Hear dial tone
- Dial 5-digit number
- Hear confirmation tone
Send All Calls must NOT be active for forwarding to operate.

Cancel - Dial #9
- Hear confirmation tone

Call Forwarding
All Calls
Activate - Dial *2 or press Call Forward
- Hear dial tone
- Dial 5-digit number
- Hear confirmation tone
- If you have a Call Forward button, the light will now be illuminated.

If the phone that you have forwarded to is unavailable, the call returns to the originating phone and follows that phone's coverage path (can include AUDIX in path). Forwarding does override a priority call. The person the phone is forwarded to will receive the priority ring.

Cancel - Dial #9
- Hear confirmation tone

Optional Feature Procedure
Send All Calls
Activate - Press Send All Calls (SAC) or dial #2
- Hear confirmation tone
- If you have a Send All Calls button, the light will now be illuminated.

Cancel - Press Send All Calls or dial #6
- Hear confirmation tone

This feature only works if the extension is in a Call Coverage Group.

Send All Calls overrides forwarding.


Priority Call - Press Priority Call (PC) or dial #3
- Dial 5-digit number

To transfer a call - Press Transfer
- Press Priority Call (PC) or dial #3
- Dial 5-digit number
- Press Transfer

Automatic Callback
Activate


- Dial 5-digit number
- If busy tone is heard, press
  Automatic Callback
- Hear confirmation tone
- Hang up within 6 seconds
- The Automatic Callback button will now be illuminated.

Cancel - Press Automatic Callback

You can also use Automatic Callback if there is no answer. Your phone will ring back the next time the extension you wanted is used and then becomes free.

Abbreviated Dialing for 30-button Set
Program - White section of button - Hear dial tone
- Press *0 (hear confirmation tone)
- Press button to be programmed
- Dial number to be stored
- Press button to hear confirmation tone

Program - Gray section of button - Hear dial tone
- Press SHIFT button (light on)
- Press *0 (hear confirmation tone)
- Press button to be programmed (light will go off)
- Enter number to be stored
- Press SHIFT button (light on)
- Press button to hear confirmation tone

Call Park
Park a call - Press Transfer
- Dial 200 or Call Park
- Dial extension number where call is to be parked, or dial # if it is to be parked on the current number
- Press Transfer

If a busy signal is received, a call is already parked from this extension, so you cannot park this call.

The phone will ring back in one minute if a parked call has not been retrieved and the line is available. If you do not pick up, the parked call with follow your call coverage path.


Retrieve parked call - Hear dial tone
- Dial #0 or press Call Park
- Dial extension number where call was parked, or dial # if it was parked on the current number
If you hear alternating high and low tones, either the caller has hung up or you dialed from an extension that does not have a call parked.

Directory Feature
Locate a person's extension from your digital phone display

- Press Directory button
- Dial three - five digits of the person's last name
- Press Next button to view all entries

Notes:
This feature applies only to digital phones with display.
CIT is currently updating the names stored on the names display. This will take some time to complete. During the updates, this feature may not work as intended.

Stored Number
View the programming of an Auto Dial button on your digital set

- Press Stored Number button
- Press AD button to view the programming


Call Display
Automatically dial extension located using Directory Feature

- Press Call Display button
