Account and Authorization Codes
Long-distance, international, and 900 calls are restricted on certain campus telephones. Faculty and staff members who need to make long-distance calls from a restricted phone may apply for an authorization code.
To request an authorization code, the departmental telecommunications coordinator should submit a Request for Service form to Network and Communication Services at 120 Maple Avenue.
To dial calls with your account number or authorization code, see the account or authorization code section of the dialing instructions.
Authorization codes bill calls to a particular account. To bill calls differently (e.g., to a different account), staff can use a combination of authorization and account codes on a per-call basis.
