Notification of System Maintenance and Outages
The Network Operations Center (NOC) maintains both a mailing list and a newgroup for notifications of scheduled maintenance and unplanned downtimes of central computing and communications services. These notifications are intended for network and system administrators, but subscriptions are open to any interested person.
- The same notices are posted on both the mailing list and the newsgroup; choose whichever is most convenient for you.
- These lists show only announcements posted by the NOC; subscribers may not post messages. For discussion of issues with other network administrators, you may also want to subscribe to the Net-Admin-L mailing list and cornell.net-admin newsgroup.

Subscribe to net-announce-l by sending mail to net-announce-l-request@cornell.edu with the single word join as the body of the e-mail message. (See Joining an E-list for more about subscribing to e-lists in general.)
