Email and calendar services for faculty and staff are undergoing a major change from September 2009 into May 2010.
During this time, all faculty and staff email accounts will be moved from the existing postoffice system to a new Exchange-based system.
With the new email system, you'll still have the same email address and all your messages, plus you'll get a much larger 7-GB email account, a better web-based way to view email, and easier access to your email with mobile devices.
The IT staff in your college, department, or unit will be advising you about plans to move your email account to this new system. As the time draws closer, you'll receive details about what you need to do to prepare and what to expect.
In late spring 2010, a new Exchange-based calendar system will replace Oracle Calendar. When this happens, all Oracle Calendar meetings since January 2008 will be copied to the new system, and everyone's calendars will be switched, all at once, from Oracle Calendar to the new system.
