Cornell Log

As previously announced at the Tech Support Provider Forum, effective July 31, 2008, Cornell Log is no longer available for download.

This decision was made in part because it's likely the usage totals displayed by Cornell Log do not accurately reflect actual network use.

Cornell Log will continue to work for purposes other than billing, for example identifying applications running on systems, however, it will no longer be supported, upgraded, or available for additional downloads. Please use the Network-Based Billing system NUBB to track your usage.

If you continue to use Cornell Log, please note that NUBB is the official record used for billing purposes.

If you are in an academic or administrative department and require assistance transitioning your department's business practices from Cornell Log to NUBB, please contact the NUBB project manager. If you are a student or current NUBB user, and require support, please consult with the CIT Contact Center at helpdesk@cornell or 255-8990.

Cornell's fees for using the network include a usage, or WAN (NUBB) fee. This fee provides unlimited use of the Cornell campus network and an allocation of free off-campus traffic (via Internet or Internet 2). If your off-campus traffic (via Internet or Internet 2) exceeds the billing threshold in a month, you will be charged a fee of $0.0015 per megabyte of additional traffic (approximately $1.50 per gigabyte). More information about the billing threshold and other usage considerations is on the Network Rates pages.
