Starting Cornell Log Automatically with Macintosh OS X

Note: Cornell Log for Macintosh works with OS X version 10.2, 10.3 (recommended), and 10.4 (recommended).

To start Cornell Log each time your Macintosh starts up, from your desktop:

OS X version 10.3 (Panther) or OS X Version 10.4 (Tiger)

  • Open System Preferences.

  • Click on Accounts (in the System section).

  • Click on Startup Items (in MacOS 10.4, this is called Login Items)

  • Click the plus sign in the darker grey section of the window (NOT the plus sign between "Login options" and the lock at the bottom left).

  • Navigate to the Cornell Log application and add it to the list. (If you accepted the defaults during installation you will find it in the Applications folder.)

 

OS X version 10.2 (Jaguar)

  • Open System Preferences

  • Click on Login Items (in the Personal section)

  • Click the Add button

  • Navigate to the Cornell Log application and add it to the list. (If you accepted the defaults during installation you will find it in the Applications folder.)
