What's New in CorporateTime Version 6?

New Look and Layout
  • The icons have changed, and some options have moved to new locations in the toolbar and menus. Becoming comfortable with the new release may take a little time.
  • A new Tools menu has replaced the old Options and Directory menus, and includes some items from the old View menu as well. Choosing Options from the Tools menu opens a new dialog window where you can adjust settings for your Agenda and In-tray preferences, entry defaults such as reminders, schedule and notification choices, date and time zone, startup choices, and address book layout and contents.
  • The window for creating events has changed. This window also has a new Tools menu, which includes Suggest a Date/Time, Apply to All, Send Mail, and other options. A new Add Date... button and a redesigned Repeating window make meetings with multiple dates easier to handle.
New Features
  • You can customize the colors of meetings displayed in your agenda by choosing from a menu of 48 basic colors or by creating your own colors. You still have to choose one of the same three schemes (Importance Level, Attendance Status, or Ownership) for assigning colors to meetings.
    • To do it: From the Tools menu, choose Options, click on the plus sign next to Agenda, then click on Colors. Click on any of the colored squares to open the color menu.
  • You can save the state of your windows at any time, so that the windows will be set up the same way the next time you open CorporateTime.
    • To do so: First set up your windows the way you want them, then choose Options from the Tools menu. In the left side of the Options window, click on the plus sign next to General, then click on Startup. In the right side of the Options window, choose the radio button marked "Open new session with the saved state" and click the Save State button.
  • E-mail notification of events has been improved in several ways:
    • The subject of the e-mail will be the event's title rather than the name of the person proposing the event.
    • For repeating meetings, the e-mail will list only the dates that have been modified or deleted, and will be sent only to people who were invited to the meeting on those dates.
  • Reminders can be sent via e-mail or SMS. Open an event and click on the Reminders tab.
  • Reminders can now be snoozed one at a time.
  • Details and attachments can be added to Daily Notes and Day Events.
  • Color printing will recognize the color settings you have selected.
  • The new on-line Address Book allows you to create categories of addresses.
  • By right-clicking on a meeting, you can choose Open Group View... to see a window with the combined agendas of everyone invited to that meeting.
  • In the Access Rights window, you can use shift-click to select multiple people and assign the same rights to all of them.
  • A new "embedded help" option displays a brief message in each window summarizing how to use the options in that window.
    • This option is turned on by default. To turn it on or off, choose Options from the Tools menu, click on General, and click inside the check box labeled "Display embedded help on all dialogs."
