Overview

CIT's Classroom Technologies organization works collaboratively with colleges and departments to integrate technology in campus learning and meeting spaces. We regularly meet with faculty and technology support staff to share information and demonstrate new equipment. We also provide the following services (on a fee basis) for the development of technology-enhanced classrooms, meeting rooms, and distance learning rooms:

Technology Consulting

  • Advise on the selection and integration of audio/visual presentation, videoconferencing, and audio/video streaming, and systems.
  • Advise on room layout and configuration issues.

Project Management

  • Manage the design and development of new or renovated technology enhanced facilities.
  • Coordinate with various CIT organizations and outside contractors to plan and install data/phone communications and audio/visual systems.

Design

  • Design room layouts and control systems that properly integrate data/phone networking and audio/visual systems that are easy to use and enhance the learning or meeting experience.
  • Provide drawings which document sight lines and viewing angles of projection screens, optimal seating arrangements, proper placement of audio/visual equipment, and control system interface panels.

For more information on services and fees, contact Tom Every at 254-2821 or tje4@cornell.edu.
