kerberos

Kerberos is software used university-wide to protect access to personal, confidential, or highly sensitive information and to services that are only available to current members of the Cornell community. CUWebLogin is a similar service that provides access to restricted web pages

Kerberos verifies (authenticates) that an individual has entered the correct password for his or her NetID and then issues an electronic ticket that grants access to restricted services.

The Kerberos software is offered at no charge to members of the Cornell community. The installer is available as part of Bear Access or separately.
