Faculty members can create web sites for their courses and host them on Cornell servers. Two methods are available, each with different advantages to consider.

Blackboard lets instructors create sites using a template and is housed on the Blackboard server. The service includes discussion board and survey capabilities, online grade reports, and other useful collaborative and administrative features.

Those who are comfortable working with HTML can use Dreamweaver or another method to customize their own sites with no limit to design, and currently without hosting space limitations. This method supports more robust media handling and search capabilities than Blackboard, but lacks its built-in collaborative tools.
