Privacy tips for the web
Use care with web cookies on your own computer.
Cookies are little data packets downloaded to your computer by web sites.
Usually they're harmless--enabling you to use an online shopping cart,
for instance, or create a personalized page. But they can also store data
you provide if you fill out a web form, which could then be passed on
without your knowledge.

Know when you're on a secure web page.
Before you give personal information to a web site,
see whether you're on a secure page.
If you are, you'll see a closed padlock
at the bottom of the web page window.
If you don't see the closed padlock, don't enter your credit card number, and be cautious about entering your name, address, etc. Your information could be intercepted as it travels between your computer and the web site.
