Getting Started with Net-Print

This is the right place to be if you do not yet have a Net-Print account and want to get one! Before we get to the step-by-step instructions, here's a very important reminder:

Always remember to clear your Kerberos ticket when leaving a public computer! If you do not clear your ticket, other people may accidently (or intentionally) use your account and YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for the charges!

If you authenticate using CUWebLogin, you must quit or exit your browser to clear your ticket.

To set up an account, you need to:

  1. Read the Net-Print Terms and Conditions.
  2. Obtain an account. (There are four kinds to choose from.)
  3. If  you will be printing from a personal (non-lab) computer, you also need to install the Net-Print software on your computer. This step is NOT necessary from lab computers.

Each time you want to use your Net-Print account, you need to:

  1. Choose a printer.
  2. If you have not already authenticated using SideCar or CUWebLogin, you will be prompted to enter your NetID and password.
  3. Print and pick up your job.
