Enhancements FAQ
Q: Can e-mail alerts be sent to the subscriber, network administrator, and account manager when an IP address has reached the 5 GB limit?
A: No. The NUBB application has been built for billing purposes, and not as a network management tool. (Remember that only about 5% of IP's on campus exceed this limit.)
Q: Is there a way for end users to be able to see how much bandwidth they have used at various times throughout the month?
A: Yes. If IP(s) that you use have been assigned to your NetID in NUBB, you can view the usage and charges for the current month at any time. You should ask your account or network administrator for assistance if you cannot view usage statistics for your IP(s).
Q: Is it possible for a network administrator to be able to choose the default subnet that is initially displayed when the NUBB application opens?
A: No. We are not maintaining individual profiles at this time.
Q: What is the best way for me to determine who currently has account maintenance or network administrator access for NUBB in my department?
A: Call 5-8990 or send an e-mail to helpdesk@cornell.edu to request the information. This functionality will not be available in the NUBB application itself.
