Starting SideCar
SideCar should be running before you use any service that depends on it for security. If you try to access a service that needs SideCar when SideCar is not running, you will see an error message. If you then start SideCar and try the service again, you should be able to access the service. There are several ways to start SideCar manually; find it on your system and launch it like any other application, as follows:
For Windows:
- From the Start menu, select Programs, then Bear Access, then SideCar -or-
- From the Start menu, select Run, then type sidecar in the space provided -or-
- Use Windows Explorer to browse to the file sidecar.exe in the c:\windows\ or c:\winnt\ directory.
For Macintosh:
- Click on the SideCar icon in the dock -or
- On your hard drive, select Applications, then Utilities, then SideCar.
