SideCar
SideCar is going away - see SideCar FAQ
SideCar is an older alternative to CUWebLogin that allows you to access restricted World Wide Web pages and other network services at Cornell through the use of a NetID and its password. This series of web pages explains how to install and use SideCar on Windows and Macintosh systems.

SideCar Works with Kerberos
SideCar works by communicating with KClient, the Kerberos software developed by MIT that Cornell uses for password authentication with many of its on-line services. Both SideCar and Kerberos software, therefore, must be installed on your computer before you can use an on-line service that employs this technology. Because SideCar relies on Kerberos, you don't need a separate account and password for each service — you use the same NetID and password for all Kerberos-protected services, such as e-mail, Just the Facts, or Who I Am.
