Obtaining and Installing SideCar
SideCar is included with Bear Access. If you have Bear Access installed on your Macintosh or Windows computer, SideCar is normally installed as well. As long as you have Bear Access running, SideCar will be available whenever it's needed by Kerberos, and you will be able to access Web pages and other services without further ado if you have sufficient privileges.
If you are not using Bear Access regularly, you can still access services that need SideCar if you install it and start it manually. SideCar needs about 200K of disk space for Windows or 30K for Macintosh. You can get both Kerberos and SideCar on the Bear Access CD, available from the CIT HelpDesk in 119 CCC. You can also obtain Kerberos and SideCar without Bear Access from CIT's FTP server.
