Kerberos error 62: Password incorrect

Problem: When attempting to use a service that requires your password, you receive "Kerberos error 62: Password incorrect"

Solution: The password you entered for the NetID is invalid. Check the following:

  • Make sure that you are entering the correct password, and that Caps Lock is not on.
  • Make sure the NetID displayed in the box is your own NetID (it will default to the NetID that was last successfully used to obtain a Kerberos ticket on this computer). See Kerberos Error #8 on how to enter your NetID as the default ID.

If you continue to have this problem, bring your photo ID to the CIT HelpDesk at 119 CCC and ask to have your password changed.
