Finding your IP Address in Windows 98/NT
Some networking problems can be caused by an incorrect IP address. You can obtain your current IP address by running the IP information program on your Windows machine.
- In Windows 98 or Me
- Go to Start | Run
- Type winipcfg and click OK.
- In Windows NT 4, 2000, or XP
- Go to Start | Run
- Type cmd and click OK.
- When the Command Prompt window comes up, type in, ipconfig.
