Dial-Up Networking dials automatically without prompting user to enter Username and Password.

Problem: This problem occurs in some versions of Windows95 such the OEM version with IE4.

Solution:

Change the Script section of Dial-up icon to not use script:

  1. Go to Start | Programs | Accessories | Dial-Up Networking
  2. Right-click on the Cornell connectoin and select Properties from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click on the Scripting tab.
  4. Blank out the the dialog box next the File Name
  • If user does not have a Scripting Tab, go to Start | Programs | Accessories | Dial-up scripting tool and remove script file.
