To set the dial-in software to redial when it receives busy signals,
do the following steps:
- Go to Start | Programs | Accessories | Dial-up Networking.
- Click on the Connections menu, and select settings.
- Make sure that the box labelled "Redial" is checked.
- In the "Before giving up retry" box, make sure you have 5 times.
- In the "Between tries wait" box, make sure you have 0 minutes and 0 seconds.
- Click the Ok button.
Note: There are configuration settings for Win 3.x computers also. Please note that the helpdesk no longer supports Win 3.x operating systems, but the user can still try these settings if he/she wishes to.
- Start up the "EZ-Remote configuration" program
- Click the Save Settings button (or the Yes button if you have an earlier version of the software) to generate a new dial-in script.
Some computers may not be able to process the redial script
fast enough to avoid losing characters so the redial feature is off by
default. If you have been able to dial in successfully but find that you
cannot do so after enabling re-dialing, repeat the steps above but deselect
the option for redialing.
