Antivirus: Windows: Schedule Scans

To remove malicious software that makes its way onto your computer, schedule a full scan daily at a time that's convenient for you. Alternatively, schedule a quick scan daily and a full scan once a week; the middle of the week is best for a weekly scan.

See Download and Install to install antivirus software on your Windows computer.
