Where can I find the resources I need for the computational portion of my research?
The first place to look is the
college, school, or academic department
with which you are affiliated. Many units have their own computing
resources to make available to researchers; some of these resources
are listed in the column at right.
Cornell Institute for Social and Economic Research (CISER)
provides statistical computing services, access to data archives, computer accounts, consulting, and training to eligible researchers and their graduate students.
All colleges at Cornell--except the Law School and the College of Veterinary Medicine--are members of CISER.
Center for Advanced Computing (CAC)
(formerly the Cornell Theory Center, CTC)
provides high-end computing resources for researchers with
computationally intensive applications that
are too large to run on departmental systems.
Cornell Information Technologies (CIT) offers limited
research computing resources
for researchers whose departments, units, or colleges
cannot presently provide the necessary resources.
