Computing at Cornell Assistive Technology for People with Disabilities

Assistive Technologies

For students

Student Disability Services provides information about Assistive Technology Across Campus for students with disabilities. Assistive computer equipment is located in several of the CIT public computer labs, the Mann Library, and in SDS offices. Currently the available assistive technology includes: voice-synthesis software, screen-enlargement software, large-print information, audio-taped information, Braille translation and printing, voice-recognition software, document scanning to e-text, accessible work stations, personal assistive listening devices, and other adaptive aids for independent access of course information.

The Program on Employment and Disability (PED), housed within the Industrial and Labor Relations School (ILR) at Cornell University, conducts research and provides continuing education and technical assistance on many aspects of disability in the workplace.
