Folders

After clicking on the Folders icon (on any screen within the E-mail Channel) you will see a screen like this one:

The top row shows the tool icons available throughout the E-mail Channel (also repeated at the very bottom of this screen).

Next (in the white bar) are icons to create a new folder and to check folder filespace (which will update the number of messages).

Then you'll see a list of all your mail folders.

  • Click on any folder name to see its contents.
  • If a folder contains other folders, click on the plus sign next to the folder to see the sub-folders.
  • Click on the icon in the Download column to copy the compressed (zipped) contents of a folder to your local drive.

Immediately after the last folder are tools for selecting and deleting folders.

  • Click Select all on page to put a checkmark next to all the the folders on this page (you can then delete, expunge, or move the marked folders). Danger danger! Chances are you do NOT want to do this!

  • Click Unselect all to remove all checkmarks.

  • Click the trashcan icon next to Delete to move all marked folders to the Trash folder. (You can recover folders from the Trash if you have not emptied or expunged the Trash folder.) You cannot delete a folder if it contains other folders (you need to delete the sub-folders first). After clicking the icon you will be given the option of deleting the folder and all messages in it (when asked, do NOT select the checkbox under "remove messages only)" or just the messages, but keeping the folder (DO select the checkbox under "remove messages only").
  • Click the trashcan with an X icon next to Expunge to immediately and permanently remove the folder(s). Expunged messages can NOT be recovered. You cannot expunge a folder if it contains other folders (you need to delete or expunge the sub-folders first). After clicking the icon you will be given the option of expunging the folder and all messages in it (when asked, do NOT select the checkbox under "remove messages only)" or just the messages, but keeping the folder (DO select the checkbox under "remove messages only").
