Setting Eudora to use SMTP Authentication

Windows
- Go to Eudora's Tools menu and choose Options.
- Click the Sending Mail icon in the Category scroll area on
the left.
- Enter
authusersmtp.mail.cornell.edu
in the SMTP Server field.
- Click to put a check mark in the box next to Allow authentication.
Make sure Secure Sockets when Sending is set to If Available,
STARTTLS.
- Click OK to close the Options window.

- Go to Eudora's Special menu and choose Settings.
- Click the Sending Mail icon in the Category scroll area on
the left.
- Enter
authusersmtp.mail.cornell.edu
in the SMTP Server field.
- Click to put a check mark in the box next to Allow authorization.
- Click the SSL icon in the Category scroll area on the left
(you will have to scroll almost to the bottom).
- IF either SSL for POP or SSL for IMAP is set to something
other than None, set SSL for SMTP to Required (TLS).
If both SSL for POP and SSL for IMAP are set to None,
do not make any changes.
- Click OK to close the Settings window.
