Spam and Virus Filtering with PureMessage
on Cornell's Central Mail Servers
CIT uses a tool called PureMessage to help keep unwanted messages out of your e-mail's Inbox. PureMessage does three things:
- It prevents virus-infected e-mail from reaching your computer.
- It looks for spam-like characteristics in all messages and for each message, assigns a probability that the message is spam.
- Based on that probability, it either:
- Deletes the message (probability greater than 80%)
- Delivers the message (probability less than 80%)
Please use the links in the menu to the left to find out more.
Messages I'm sending are getting marked as spam!
How can I stop this from happening?
