cuwebmail imap server identification error

Problem: When I try to connect to the Webmail website
(http://webmail.cornell.edu), I get the following error message:

cuwebmail imap server identification error
error code CUWM-2
error message: no valid mail host found

Solution:

This error occurs when the user does not have postoffice8.mail.cornell.edu or postoffice9.mail.cornell.edu in their mailrouting LDAP field. To do this, follow this link to the instructions on how to set up your WebMail: http://www.cit.cornell.edu/computer/email/webmail/

If you have already done so, but you still get the same error message, please double-check that there are no leading or trailing spaces (blank spaces before or after the text you type) in the mail routing field in Who I Am.

If, unfortunately, the error persists, please contact the CIT HelpDesk at helpdesk@cornell.edu for more personalized assistance.
