Garbled Attachments

Problem: Some of my email attachments are encoded and garbled.

Solution:

This is caused by a blank line in the headers which almost always occurs when the sender is using Microsoft Exchange, and sending attachment to more than one recipient. To properly receive the attachment, ask the sender to send the attachment one recipient at a time. If the sender is not using Microsoft Exchange, ask them to resend the attachment, possibly encoding the attachment in a different format.
CIT is currently investigating the origin of the blank lines in order to solve this problem.
