Am I Using IMAP or POP?

(With Eudora)

 

Eudora can handle your mail in two different ways: using IMAP or using POP. Our Choosing IMAP or POP page describes how they differ and how to decide which one will be more useful for you.

This page shows you how to find out which method Eudora is set up to use on your computer.

Windows

  1. Go to Eudora's Tools menu and choose Options.
  2. Click the Incoming Mail icon in the scroll box on the left.
  3. The first item on the right is Server Configuration, which indicates which method you are using:

Macintosh

  1. Go to Eudora's Special menu and choose Settings.
  2. Click the Getting Started icon in the scroll box on the left.
  3. The first item on the right is Mail Protocol, which indicates which method you are using:
