E-lists at Cornell

Legitimate Cornell NetID Explanation

Owners of Cornell-based e-lists must:

  • Be a current Cornell faculty or staff member, a current Cornell student, or a Cornell alumnus
  • Have an legitimate Cornell NetID

How do I know if I have a legitimate Cornell NetID?

Check the Search Cornell - People page. Enter your NetID and click Search

  • Type in just your NetID, for example, ewe2
  • Don't enter your full e-mail address, for example, ewe2@cornell.edu

If you are an alumni and don't seem to be in the directory, it's probably because you haven't signed up for CU On the Net, Cornell's free, permanent mail forwarding service. Visit the CU On the Net web pages for more informaiton and to sign up.
