Leaving an E-list (Lyris) - More Info

I no longer have access to the address where I'm subscribed, so I can't send my leave command from there. How do I leave a list in this situation?

If you no longer have access to the e-mail address where you received messages from a list (for example, if you leave Cornell and can no longer use your NetID address), you will need to contact the list administrators. Send a message to

owner-listname@cornell.edu

where listname is the name of the list you want to leave, including the hyphen and the letter L at the end of the listname. For example, after Ezra quit his job at Cornell, he would send a message to

owner-sheep-shearing-L@cornell.edu

asking to be taken off the sheep shearing list.

The leave command doesn't seem to work for me.

If you're getting error messages when you try to leave a list, and you've checked your spelling and syntax (see our Leaving a List page), you may be having a problem sending plain text, which is what Lyris needs.

But if you've read the information about sending plain text and the leave command still doesn't work for you, please contact the list administrators. Send a message to

owner-listname@cornell.edu

where listname is the name of the list you want to leave, including the hyphen and the letter L at the end of the listname. For example, if Ezra was having problems getting off the sheep-shearing-L list, he would send a message to

owner-sheep-shearing-L@cornell.edu

asking to be taken off the sheep shearing list.
