Ethernet Connections
Ethernet connections are those found in networked offices, laboratories and residence hall rooms. An Ethernet connection is much faster than a dial-up phone line connection, but requires a computer to have an Ethernet card installed and configured properly.

and configuring networking software for a non-ResNet on-campus Ethernet
connection (select your operating system):
- Windows XP
- Windows 2000
- Windows 95/98/Me (Millennium) - no longer supported by CIT and Microsoft
- Windows NT - no longer supported by CIT and Microsoft
- Mac OS X
- Macintosh 9 and below - no longer supported by CIT
All Ethernet connections are subject to IP usage-based billing.
