blue bullet Using Cornell Services and Bear Access via EZ-Remote or Express Lane

After connecting to the Cornell campus network, you can go ahead and use Cornell services and Bear Access just as you normally would. You will have access to all of the services you normally use. Your phone bill, however, can become quite expensive if you spend a great deal of time online. If you are concerned about having a high phone bill, please read our tips for minimizing connection time when using Eudora or browsing the web.

Many Cornell and Bear Access services require a live connection to the network and cannot be used off-line. In order to reduce dial-in costs, we suggest that you take advantage of off-peak hours when using the web, Network News, or other services. You might also want to find a local Internet service provider if you plan to spend a lot of time online (see Using a Local Internet Service Provider).
