Requesting an Account on the Campus Calendar ServerDoes anyone in your department or work unit have an account on the campus calendar server? If your answer to this question is "Yes" then you should contact the person in your department who provides administrative support by acting as the calendar account coordinator for your department. This person can submit an account creation request for you. If you don't know who that person is, check the Oracle Calendar users database. If your answer to this question is "No" then you are the first person in your department to request an account. We strongly recommend that someone in your department assume the role of account coordinator. A central point of contact within the department helps maintain consistency and control. Before proceeding with your account creation request please discuss this issue with the appropriate persons in your department to determine who, if anyone, will assume this role. Once a decision has been made concerning the account coordinator role please contact us at ecalendar@cornell.edu to begin the process of creating accounts for you and others in your department. Directions for submitting an Account Creation request and the Naming Conventions to be applied to an account should be read before submitting any account creation requests. If you have any questions about the account creation process please send email to ecalendar@cornell.edu. Resources, Groups, and OU fieldsGuidelines for creating and naming resources, groups, and organizational unit fields should be read and understood before a request to create a resource account is sent to the calendar server administrator. Server Downtime and Upgrade Notification From time to time it becomes necessary to take
the campus calendar server down for scheduled and
unscheduled maintenance. If you would like to
receive notification of these downtimes you should subscribe to ecalendar-announce-l
