Administration & Finance: CIT Billing Office

The CIT Billing Office was established to provide centralized billing support for all CIT units that bill faculty, staff, students and others for their services. This centralization is in progress, and will include the migration of all CIT bills to a single platform and a consolidated online bill.

The CIT Billing Office now supports NCS (Network and Communication Services) voice and data billing, and migration will continue through most of 2008 until billing support for all CIT services has been transitioned. As the migration schedule is developed for other CIT services, updates will be posted here to keep customers apprised of our plans.

The following types of work are the responsibility of the CIT Billing Office:

• Billing and accounting inquiries for these phone and network services:
  • Voice, data, wireless and special circuits
  • Authorization codes, account codes, and calling cards
  • EC500 (bridging a desk phone to a cell phone)
  • CUTV
  • AUDIX
  • Recurring and one-time charges (MRC's, OCC's)
• Account changes for NCS services
• Service reassignments and name changes
• Monthly billing notifications, including the "Your CIT Services Report is Ready" messages
• Inquiries regarding telephone and network bills and reports, including the management of administrative access
• Updates to CIT's list of department billing and telecommunication coordinators

The CIT Billing Office is part of OIT/CIT's Division of Administration and Finance. Our staff is trained in the business/pricing/service plans for the billed services that we support as well as the university accounting system.  This not only provides the traditional telecom coordinator interface for issues related to billing, but establishes a new central CIT contact for campus accounting and Business Service Center staff who need to make account number changes or discuss issues from an accounting perspective.
