CornellC says you are already logged on

Problem: When you try to log onto CornellC, it tells you that you are already logged on, and then quits.

Solution:

To fix this problem, press Enter at the logon screen without entering any information. At the next screen type l VMID (that is the lowercase letter "L" followed by your VMID*, for example "l abc23") and then press Enter. You should be prompted for your password. Type your password and press Enter, and you should be logged in.

Also, if you are logged on, then you can use the syntax:

LOGON VMID HERE

to switch to the current session.

* The VMID (Virtual Machine ID) is independent from your NetID.
