Error 1101, Unable to resolve host, telnet URLs don't work

Problem: When clicking on telnet URLs, Host Explorer says that it is unable to resolve host.

Solution: This problem is encountered due to a problem with the way the original version of HostExplorer passed arguments to Host Explorer. This was resolved with the subsequent update to Host Explorer and should not occur on currently distributed versions. If this problem comes up, please download the newest version of Host Explorer.
