Using Telnet with Netscape

Problem: When I click on a Telnet or tn3270 link in Netscape it tells me there is no available application, or tells me it cannot launch the document.

Solution: This is generally a problem with either the "telnet/tn3270" preference in your World Wide Web (WWW) browser or with the application that BA expects you to use as the telnet/tn3270 for WWW. The easiest way to fix your Netscape preferences for the proper helper applications is to use Bear Access. Click on the Updates and Extras folder in Bear Access via Runway, and then on the Netscape folder. Click on the button that says "Configure Navigator." This runs an AppleScript that automatically configures Netscape to use the right helper applications. If this still doesn't help, you should try dragging the applications Comet-NCSA and Comet-Brown out of your dataComet folder (inside the Bear Access f folder) and into the trash. Bear Access will prompt you to download a fresh copy of Comet-NCSA the next time you do something in Bear Access that might need it.
