Problem: When trying to start Bear Access, the above message appears.

Solution: Troubleshoot your network settings.

ResNet users:

If you are a student living in a dormitory and are subscribed to the ResNet service, please call the HelpDesk at 255-8990 or e-mail the HelpDesk at helpdesk@cornell.edu.

Faculty and staff on campus:

If you have a computer connected to the campus network in an office or lecture hall, please contact the appropriate service team:
Endowed colleges:E-team at 255-1999 or e_team@cornell.edu.
Statutory colleges and libraries:S-team at 255-4555 or s_team@cornell.edu.
Administrative units:A-team at 255-0001 or teama-l@cornell.edu.

EZ-Remote and Express Lane users:

Your dial-up connection settings are incorrect. Please contact the HelpDesk at 255-8990 or helpdesk@cornell.edu for instructions on how to correct them.

Alternate ISP users (RoadRunner, AOL, Lightlink, etc...):

Please contact the tech support for your ISP to troubleshoot your network connection.
