Problem:
When the Bear Access window is opened, it can only be maximized or minimized. When you right-click on the taskbar, the restore button is unavailable (greyed out).
Solution:
This problem occurs when Bear Access has been minimized and you close it by right-clicking on the Bear Access icon in the taskbar and select "Close." To correct the problem, you must delete the .ini file. After Bear Access creates a new one, the file must be set to read-only to prevent the problem from happening again.
- Close Bear Access.
- Click Start | Find | Files or Folders....
- Type runway.ini in the "Named:" field. Make sure "My Computer" is selected for the "Look in:" field.
- Click Find Now.
- When the file appears in the bottom half of the window, right-click on it and click Delete.
- Restart Bear Access, resize the window to your liking, then close Bear Access again.
- In the Find window, click on the Find Now button again. If you closed the Find window, follow the above steps to open it again.
- When the file appears in the bottom half of the window, right-click on it and click Properties.
- Put a check in the box labeled "Read Only."
- Click OK.
