Exception thrown. Error 50: cgworld

Problem: When opening Bear Access Runway, I get an error box that says "Exception thrown. Error 50 file: cgworld. c Error #41".

Solution:

This problem is caused by quitting Bear Access while the window is partially off the edge of the screen. To fix it, you need to trash the preferences file which keeps track of the location of the Runway window. First, you can force Bear Access to quit by pressing the Apple, option, and escape keys all at the same time. Then go into your hard drive, open the System Folder, then the Preferences folder, then the Project SALSA folder, and finally drag the Runway Preferences file in that folder to the trash. Now, the next time you start up Bear Access, you should not get the "cgworld" error. To prevent this error from happening again, make sure that you do not quit Bear Access when the Runway window is overlapping the edge of the desktop; instead drag the window back to the center of the screen before quitting.

This error should no longer occur with Bear Access 2001 (Runway version 1.4 and higher).
